As a PC builder enthusiast this questions comes up often, whether to buy now or wait for the ‘next big thing’? First of all, the PC market is one that is constantly improving and offering increased speeds, efficiencies and new form factors for the ascetics in a build. That being said, the ‘next big thing’ is always just around the corner. To wait, will ultimately result in constantly holding off and let’s be real, you will never truly be ahead of the curve. Even as a Bleeding Edge adopter, you will only be with the ‘best’ hardware for only a short amount of time. So, my answer to the question should be a simple one: buy now what computer hardware you can afford and what will do what you need it to do; however, as in life….it is never a simple answer.
If you are a first time builder or a long time enthusiast taking your hobby to the next level, it all comes down to cost to performance value. For example, it is easy to go onto PCPARTPICKER.com and pick the computer hardware that fits your budget. But, are you getting the right hardware, or are you getting what your favorite YouTuber had recently reviewed?
